GOV. Stitt's Road Map to Success Highlights 4 Major Points (2022)

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK (PAR CLASS)- Kevin Stitt announces his fourth year as Oklahoma’s governor with his State of State address speech, highlighting what he will do in his fourth year in Oklahoma’s Government.

Governor Stitt comes to Oklahoma’s capitol to show that he still stands with Oklahomans and his accomplishments in his first three years as governor. 40,000 more jobs were given to Oklahomans in his first three years while the unemployment rate was reduced to 2.3%, lowest in Oklahoma’s history.

He explains that people from other states who wish to avoid the lockdowns in democrat led states have come to Oklahoma to seek ‘freedom’ with 27,000 more Americans coming to this state. He has laid out his agenda with four points to “make Oklahoma a top ten state,” with: “driving hope for all Oklahomans, protecting Oklahomans in our way of life, making Oklahoma the most pro-business state in the entire country and delivering taxpayers more for their money”.

“Oklahomans have elected the largest supermajority in state history,” said Stitt. “We have a very clear mandate to enact strong conservative policies that protect liberty.”

Driving hope for all Oklahomans will begin with his first step to help Oklahomans stay in school for longer than the other democratic states around the country. Stitt has had his focus on keeping the schools open, rather than closing them with mandates surging throughout the country. Stitt has said that there will be more options for private school options and a triple digit teacher salary.

“Securing fairness and safety within the medical marijuana industry”

Protecting Oklahomans in our way of life is to begin with Oklahoma’s “problems in our community and they must be stopped.” The medical marijuana industry within Oklahoma has a grower’s license charge of $2,500, while

California charges more than $181,000. Other points made throughout this point include his disagreement with McGirt v. Oklahoma saying it prohibits justice within Oklahoma with the tribal leaders suggesting working with the tribes more collaboratively. He went on to say Oklahomans didn’t know what they were voting for back when the state question was given in 2018.

Making Oklahoma the most pro-business state in the entire country comes with the announcement of the electric car company Canoo coming to Oklahoma. They are beginning to create a facility in Pryor, Oklahoma with the backing of Stitt to create 2,000 jobs and over 700 high paying jobs.

Delivering taxpayers more for their money is his fourth point. Stitt explains that to secure Oklahoma’s future he was looking to save money instead of spending it. Stitt has been able to save over two billion dollars for the state of Oklahoma and he is wanting to expand the cap on the savings account.

The infrastructure and highway system will ultimately cost over $13 billion and ten years to create. All while cutting the top revenue for the state, taxes. Covid-19 was not mentioned in this speech.

This requires strategic investments, modernizing government agencies, transparency, building our savings account and infrastructure.”
